This preorder is part of the Hyperreal Bootleg T-Shirt Challenge. The challenge runs until Monday, September 22nd at 12pm noon CST.
Sally Potter's 1992 film "Orlando" is quite a wonderful work of art. Adapted from the novel by Virginia Woolf, the film is notable not only for it's depiction of an un-aging English aristocrat who changes from a man to a woman halfway through the narrative, it was my unwitting introduction to the captivating gender defying (and defining) mystery of the actor Tilda Swinton.
For this design, I mined long dormant knowledge gleaned from my Art History minor to evoke the text and image combinations of the artist Barbara Kruger. I even went to the trouble of asking the internet what font Barbara Kruger used (Futura Bold).
Most of my work is neurodivergent themed in one way or another. Pretty sure the Venn Diagram overlap between Virginia Woolf and Tilda Swinton lands somewhere under the greater neurodiversity umbrella.
