Create your design using our artwork guidelines. Artists retain all rights to their artwork and make profit for every shirt sold. We believe in your art.

2. CHOOSE YOUR SHIRT & INK COLOR

Choose from a range of high-quality shirts. Consider the shirt color as part of the design and use the negative space to enhance how the print lives on the shirt. From there, you can choose from our stock inks and pick 1-4 colors. The price is dependent on the amount of colors so we recommend starting with just one color.

3. TELL YOUR FRIENDS & FOLLOWERS

Once you submit your design, our team will add the personal touch setting up your page and work with you to make sure everything looks great. Then, you will be ready to launch your shirt design and creatively promote your work on social media and beyond. 

The preorders run for 3 weeks. After the preorder ends, all shirts will go to production. If you would like to run your campaign for longer, we will print everything that sold up until that point and keep your page going.

4. WE PRINT & SHIP, YOU GET PAID

Our team will expertly screen print your successful design and ship directly to your fans worldwide. Designs under the shirt minimum will be printed with high quality digital printing. There is no limit on how many you can sell.

We send you money directly when the campaign ends. Artists retain all rights to their artwork and make profit for every shirt sold. We believe in artists getting paid.

ART GUIDELINES

Files that work best for screen printing are Photoshop (.psd) document sized for printing at 300dpi with the color layers separated. 

*Most art programs like Procreate can be exported as a .psd file. If you can't export as a .psd then Illustrator (.ai) or a high-res .png file with transparent background, or a .pdf also work.

Size: Front and Back designs needs to fit between 12.5 inches wide x 14.5 inches tall
The example below shows the correct file size and resolution at 300dpi.

For halftone images, please include the areas to be halftones in a separate layer. This means any soft brushes, or any non-solid brushes or textures should be separated on their own layer like the below example.

Our team will expertly process any non-solid areas into halftones for screen printing.

The example below shows how the solid black and red ink layers are separated, and the soft brushes/halftones are also separated on their own layers.

Max screens per preorder is four total, this can be split between the front and back of the shirt (for example: 2 on the front and 2 on the back). Unlock more colors by running successful campaigns and earning power-ups.

$25 per custom ink mix will be taken out of profits if you want us to custom mix an ink not part of stock inks.

DESIGNING FOR SCREEN PRINT

The best way to design for screen printing is with an understanding of how the process works. This graphic shows how 1, 2, and 3 color layers of a design are layered on top of each other. Since screen printing requires each ink to get its own screen, the number of color layers in a print are based on screen count. 

One of the best ways to design a screen print is with the shirt color in mind. The shirt color can act like an ink color (without actually using ink), and can be used as any section of the design to break up space in print.

PRINT METHOD

The chart below shows the number of shirts needed to sell in order to have the shirt screen printed based on how many colors are in the design. Shirts that sell below the threshold will be printed with high quality digital printing. Shirts that sell on or over the threshold will be screen printed.

MARKETING TIPS

Post on social media consistently and often
• Have your preorder link in an easy to locate spot for customers (in your bio or use LinkTree).
• Create unique content on Instagram, X, TikTok, Pinterest, Tumblr. Focus on one platform and work to build a community, entertain, and find your supporters.
• We have found that Instagram is great for communicating with your existing audience. While TikTok can be more effective for sharing your story with a larger audience that might be meeting you for the first time.
• We have seen short videos be prioritized over still images and gain more traction in the last few years.
• Update your audience with reminders: “1 week left,” “1 day left,” etc.

Engage in Storytelling
• Share the story behind your design or the broader narrative of your artistic journey. Create compelling comics, animations, or short videos of you that build and communicate your artistic vision.
• Chat about what inspired your design, a glimpse into your studio, or a time-lapse of your creative process.

Interact with Followers
• Respond to comments, host Q&A sessions, or go live to discuss your design inspirations.

Collaborate
• Partner with other artists for shoutouts or cross-promotions.
• Check out our discord to chat with other artists.
• Tag us @rawpaw so we can share too. We can only share so many before our feed is flooded so we will do our best to curate your amazing content during our working hours (Monday through Friday 10am-6pm CST).

In Person Events
• Engage in local communities and participate in art fairs, pop-up shops, or craft markets.
• You can create a QR code that links to your shirt and create handouts, posters, or display at your booth.
• Physical flyers at common spots like coffee shops, book stores, etc are great for connecting outside your audience.

Paid Advertising
• Use platforms like Meta Ads, Google Ads, or Instagram promoted posts to find specific people interested in your style. While this can be challenging and expensive to get going, we have really grown our brand with ads on social media and we always view it as investing in ourselves. Plus sometimes a design can take off if the right people see it or the algorithm shows you love.

Remember to post as your authentic self. When you care about something, your audience will too!

TERMS

Artists retain all rights to their artwork and make profit for every shirt sold.

Preorders are typically active for 3 weeks after the shirt is listed on site. You can extend your campaign as long as you want. If upon completion you would like to run your preorder again, you can relaunch for another preorder period.

Print method depends on how many shirts are sold and how many colors are in the design. See Profits & Rates for specific details. Shirts that sell on or over the threshold will be screen printed. Shirts that sell below the threshold will be printed with high quality digital printing.

In most cases, only one shirt will need to be sold in order to be printed. If for some reason the design cannot be printed all orders will be fully refunded.

Production begins a few weeks after the preorder closes. Payouts are sent via Paypal and will happen 3-7 business days after preorder ends.

Users under the age of 18 must have permission of their parent or legal guardian and all financial information must belong to a parent or legal guardian. Age is verified through use of PayPal since users must be over the age of 18 to have an account.

CONTENT LIMITS

Abusive, threatening, defamatory, or harassing designs are prohibited. This includes anything that is discriminatory or promoting harm. Show us what you are thinking, we have an open mind.

Nothing in violation of someone else’s privacy or intellectual property rights. No AI-generated art.

Raw Paw reserves the right to decline any designs for any reason.

SHIPPING

Orders are added into the production queue after the preorder closes. Please allow a few weeks for the shirts to be carefully printed and shipped after the preorder ends. Standard shipping times apply once shipped out.

Shipping fees are calculated based on current USPS rates and are applied at checkout.

Domestic Standard Shipping: 9-12 business days once shipped.
