Am I Normal Yet? by S.g.r

I really wanted to explore themes of one's own personal hell and feeling like you don't quite fit into the persona others have made for you. Oftentimes, other people's perceptions of you can feel like they're tearing you apart. Twisting, pulling, and contorting you into a version of yourself you don't recognize—until you don't even know who you are to begin with. I really tried to represent that feeling of agony, anguish, and helplessness in this design; both through the violence of the clawing hands, the confusion of the eye, and the emotion behind the screaming mouth. However, I think this most clearly comes through with the quote, "Am I normal yet?". It's a plea. A question that asks if any of these versions are enough. It's also a sentiment a lot of people that feel like this share. This feeling like you aren't normal. Like you don't belong. And that feeling can be hell.
