This preorder is part of the Heaven or Hell design challenge.

The challenge runs until September 21st, 2026 at 12pm (noon) CST.

This design was inspired by the descriptions of seraphim in biblical text. The idea of an angelic figure looking frightening can toe the line between what we perceive as "good" or "evil," especially when the figure itself states, "Be not afraid." Additionally, there are top surgery scars on the chest of the figure, which I've included to add commentary on the ways that trans bodies are viewed by certain groups. Trans bodies aren't frightening, they are angelic.

The design itself is a two color print with white and red ink on a black shirt. It was first hand-drawn and then rendered in Illustrator. Final touches were then added in Photoshop.
