Life isn’t dealt out fairly. Some people are given a heavenly life, some are dealt a hellish one, but we can either make the most of our hand or dwell only on the bad. Sometimes, we realize too late what a heavenly hand we had, when a hellish one lands in our lap. We lost our 27 year old daughter last year, and we are trying to keep as much heaven as possible in the hellish one we were dealt. I do that with art and spending time with our son & his family. Grandkids are marvelous to help us live in the moment. I’ve recently taken up block printing to honor and stay connected to my girl, since she wanted to pursue printmaking, and I sign all my prints with MM, which stands both for “Marks for Marissa” and “Marissa’s Mom”. Besides block printing, I am also a Fused Glass Artist and am trying to learn Surface Pattern Design. I have tried numerous crafts and art forms throughout my life.
