Inspired by the Northern European Renaissance, I took my abstract cartoon surreality and combined it with Hieronymus Bosch and Matthias Grünewald. This piece is a reflection on a state of mind I have been experiencing as of late. A sort of lethargy and weariness. Weighing odds that are both unappealing. Leaving one more confused rather than resolved. It represents uncertainty, desperation, lustful torment, and doubt. A path that was thought to be reliable falls apart, and one is once again forced to learn to surrender and purge.

If I were to modify the theme, I would change it to "Heaven, or Hell?" because the problem represented in this piece is the confusion of not knowing the difference any longer. As you weigh the odds, you cannot tell which is Heaven and which is Hell.

An angel is cast from Heaven and turned into an insect. They patch themselves back together and are left to roam Earth.
