This preorder is part of the Heaven or Hell design challenge.
The challenge runs until September 21st, 2026 at 12pm (noon) CST.
According to Egyptian mythology, a soul’s final destination in the afterlife was determined by the weight of their heart.
It was believed that a person’s heart encapsulated all of their thoughts, feelings, memories, and morality. So, hearts were used to judge the character of the dead. In the Hall of Truth, the god Inpu (Anubis) weighed hearts against the Feather of Ma’at. Those with hearts lighter than the feather could spend eternity in paradise (the Field of Reeds), but heavy hearts were devoured by the monster Ammit, condemning their owners to a final death of nonexistence.
This design depicts the last moments before judgement. As Inpu places your heart on the scale, you fear your fate.
