This design is inspired by the contest's theme, Heaven and Hell. In popular media, art, and public perception, angels are often portrayed as beautiful, idealized beings and fierce warriors who protect humanity from known and unknown dangers. However, biblically accurate angels are described quite differently—appearing as incomprehensible and even unsettling beings beyond human understanding
This design combines both interpretations. It represents a powerful protector and fearless warrior that stands guard against the unknown while embracing the mysterious and otherworldly nature of biblical angels. It is meant to inspire both awe and fear—a guardian whose presence is as unsettling as the horrors it keeps at bay. In the end, it leaves a single question: if something this terrifying exists to protect us, what could it possibly be protecting us from?
