This preorder is part of the Heaven or Hell design challenge.

The challenge runs until September 21st, 2026 at 12pm (noon) CST.

Temptation always presents us with two choices: Resist or submit, Heaven or Hell, Love or Lust. This is based loosely on the sculpture 'Undine rising from the water' by Chauncey Ives. His sculpture took inspiration from an old myth of a water nymph who rose from the waters to tragically kill her unfaithful lover, a young knight. I felt that this story was a great example of the consequences of giving in to temptation.

I wanted my statue to visually represent both sides at once, with marble and an angel wing on one side, and cracked stone and a demons wing on the other. The cracks beginning to form on the devilish side are a representation of the corruption that comes with temptation.
