This preorder is part of the Heaven or Hell design challenge.

The challenge runs until September 21st, 2026 at 12pm (noon) CST.

I wanted my gate to hell to resemble one of those traditional tattoos of stairs in a portal. When it’s right side up, the stairs appear to ascend, which isn’t really what happens when you go to hell… so I flipped it on its head. The flames coming out of the sconces are meant to resemble souls too.
I gave the angel a typical winged silhouette (2 symmetrical wings) but made the actual figure asymmetrical.. I played with a lot of symmetry and asymmetry for this design overall.
