The Divine Human Contradiction by alex.xiaart

Expressing the conflict between Heaven and Hell, good and evil - the story unfolds where every little choice matters.

In the details you will find the main attraction split in half and conjoined by both Heaven and Hell. They are contradictory in their own existence while engaging in more contradictory statements like reaching for the Heavens while also stepping on an Angel. The intention is up to your own interpretation. There are many other details hidden for you to find and piece together the story and meaning.

Inspired by The Divine Comedy written Dante Alighieri, the French graphic artist and illustrator Gustave Doré, Italian sculptor and architect Gian Lorenzo Bernini, the iconic "The Creation of Adam" by Michelangelo, and last but not least The Divine Comedy Symphony by Robert W. Smith; I had composed a story encompassing the dramatic two sides into one. I played with various elements including color, line weight, and composition, that are open to interpretation and up for you, the viewer to notice the smaller details and apply your own meaning.

Although I am a graphic artist, I am also an avid reader, an artist of many forms, and a musician. My favorite theme is conflict between two opposing sides in all forms of the arts. I'm drawn to the stark contrast between the two and how contradictory they always are. I believe life cannot be seen as black and white, good and bad, etc. There lies contradictory in everything, even within ourselves.
