"BE NOT AFRAID," beacons the VULVANGELIS.

This biblically accurate rendering of female genitalia in the style of a seventeenth-century engraving allows the viewer to gaze into this heavenly scene with mental fortitude and blissful serenity.

A tongue-in-cheek portmanteau, VULVANGELIS combines "vulva" with the Greek word "vangelis"—meaning "messenger" or "angel"—in a bold message that compels onlookers to protest against the gynophobia so ubiquitous in contemporary American politics. To wear this shirt is to rage against the misogyny rooted in American Conservatives' fear of female bodily autonomy.

Satanic Tiddies is a surreal collage artist based in Houston. Nicknamed Dr. Tidds, she is the self-proclaimed first among equals in the Unhinged Revolution© and received her Ph.D. in seventeenth-century literature, the history of science, and heretical thought from Rice University in 2020.
